Tennis superstar Serena Williams if officially the fierce muse behind one of the fashion industry’s most hotly buzzed-about collaborations. Off-White‘s designer Virgil Abloh has debuted the “Queen Collection” created with Nike for the athlete. Serena is set to debut the sporty designs on the court at the upcoming 2018 U.S. Open Tennis Championships, all going down in New York City later this month. In the mean time, she is radiant starring in new campaign images for the collection.
The line consists of a variety of game day-ready garments, like black and white tennis dresses, a stylish jacket, and more. Of course, there are those glittery and sparkly NikeCourt Flare 2 sneakers, customized with Serena’s name and adorned with Abloh’s signature “logo” detailing and plastic tag along with Nike’s swoop. As part of the design process, all garments were fitted to Serena Williams’ body form and material options all got her personal seal of approval.
“What I love about tennis is the gracefulness. It’s an aggressive and powerful game, but it takes touch and finesse,” Abloh shared in an official press statement. “So the dress is feminine, but combines her aggression. It’s partially revealing. It’s asymmetrical. It has a sort of ballerina-esque silhouette to symbolize her grace. It’s not about bells and whistles and tricks. It’s just about it living on the body, and expressing Serena’s spirit with each swing of the racket.”
The Nike x Virgil Abloh Queen Collection will range in price from $130 to $900. You’ll be able to shop the looks online on Nike.com, plus a at select Nike stores at NikeLab retailers.
