Dior Homme Reveals “Black Carpet” Campaign for Spring 2018
The latest campaign imagery for the Dior Homme Spring 2018 collection is here, and it’s unlike anything you have seen from the brand before. The label tapped French fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier to capture designer Kris Van Assche’s so-called “Black Carpet” line. Each image plays off the fully black and white men’s collection that recently walked the Dior runways. The results are stunning.

Each image showcases the latest sharply-tailored suits and intricate detailing, in shadowy heavy contrast.
“The idea of the Black Carpet was to convey the energy and rebel attitude of the runway collection in a capsule collection of evening wear, while playing with the embellishment codes and the know-how of Dior, reworking the evening suit by pushing it in a more extreme interpretation,” Artistic Director Kris Van Assche shared with WWD about the inspiration.
In timing with the “Black Carpet” collection, Dior Homme also announced they will be collaborating on a special project for this year’s Miami Art Basel. Van Assche shared a black and white floral image on Instagram to tease the upcoming announcement. This is sure to be an exciting reveal!

Another exciting Spring 2018 capsule campaign for Dior Homme, also by Kris Van Assche, includes British actor Robert Pattinson. The movie star fronted a series black-and-white advertorial images with a different aesthetic – shot by Karl Lagerfeld on Parisian rooftops. Each look in his ad series channels classically chic styles with a distinctly modern twist.
