The jaw-dropping Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2018 collection lookbook is here, and it’s filled with dark and sensual style moments to remember. The brand is known for making quite a statement with its opulent garments, and this pre-autumn season from Sarah Burton is no exception.
“This season’s Alexander McQueen woman is a darkly romantic muse,” the brand shared on its website, while debuting the latest dresses, separates, and luxury handbags. “Her wardrobe features military tailoring, dresses edged with undulating ruffles and hand-drawn prints inspired by the British Art Nouveau movement.”

This collection was also inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and the line features prints inspired by the ink line drawings of Aubrey Beardsley. Hand-embroidered and painted embellishments are showcased throughout the collection to stunning effect: the strong emphasis on pattern and one-of-a-kind detailing is what makes this collection truly special.
Plus, structured coats and armor-like harnesses and leather corsets are perfectly contrasted with billowy long-sleeve maxi dresses and feminine pleated skirts. It’s that soft-meets-hard blend that we are loving for transitioning a wardrobe from summer to fall.
