Watters Introduces Spring 2018 Collections During NYBFW

During New York Bridal Fashion Week, Watters was proud to introduce the 2018 Spring Collections: Reign, Ethereal Illumination and La Luna. Each collection focused heavily on intricate detailing, extravagant textures and fine fabrics within the design process.

The premier flagship brand is “best known for artful designs that embody innovation, hidden details, and craftsmanship.” Watters has been a part of the fashion industry for over thirty years and has three sister brands: Wtoo, Willowby and Seahorse. It is a family owned business in Dallas, Texas created by designer Vatana Watters. Although, the main headquarters is still in Dallas, the brand has grown so much that there are now teams located in Europe and Asia. Vatana pays tribute to her teams across the world by using her travels as design inspiration.

Let’s talk about the premier brand’s collection first. Reign is inspired by the luxuriousness of royal weddings in England. The gowns are crafted with “elegant lace patterns, cascading silk organza, and custom beading.” In short, the collection features traditional style gowns with a large array of silhouettes for the contemporary princess.

Next up: Ethereal Illumination, created by sister brand Wtoo is inspired by ancient Greek goddesses. The gown features pay tribute to the Greek culture with brilliant scrollwork patterns and laurel leaf details. Silhouettes range from mermaid style, to ball gowns to classic A-lines. Whichever timeless silhouette you choose will still channel the vibes of a Greek goddess.

The inspiration behind Willowby’s La Luna are the different, unknown galaxies in outer space. This collection highlights free flowing gowns with tassels and strategic beading resembling constellations. The signature of La Luna is the light layering of avant-garde lace patterns. La Luna is for the bride who wants to look out of this world.

All in all, Watters gowns take luxury from the past and transform it to modern-day bridal couture. Their gowns make every bride feel like royalty for their special day.
