Get Artistic Inspiration from the Vans x Frida Kahlo Shoe Collection

Last year, iconic skate shoe brand Vans teamed up with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam to release an incredible shoe and apparel line inspired by legendary painter Vincent Van Gogh. And now for Summer 2019, the footwear label’s Vault series – home of successful Ralph Stedman, Modernica, and Taka Hayashi collabs – has unveiled an incredibly worthy follow-up, the Vans x Frida Kahlo collection.

Several of Kahlo’s most famous and recognizable works – including the Mexican painter’s self-portrait Las Dos FridasViva la Vida, Watermelons and Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird – are now adorning three popular canvas shoe types from the brand. They are the Vans Slip-Ons, Sk8-His, and Authentic design styles. Licensed through the Frida Kahlo Corporation and the Banco de Mexico, the sneakers are authentic and dedicated to preserving the artist’s important work and legacy.

The entire Vans x Frida Kahlo shoe collection is set to drop on June 29, online and at retailers where Vault by Vans designs are sold. The pieces will range in price from $80 to $95.
