Today, March 8, women around the world are celebrating International Women’s Day. One beauty brand that’s committed to making a difference in more than name-only is Urban Decay. The popular cosmetics company has just released a limited edition new shade of its popular Vice Lipstick called “Outspoken,” and 100% of the purchase price from all sales will be going back to benefit women’s empowerment non-profits.
This year’s special shade is a metallic rose nude-mauve hue, which comes housed in a stylish purple case decorated with a flower in bloom. The buttery smooth product glides on like a dream, and drenches your lips in both pigmented color and rich nutrients. Yup, all of that glam while giving back.
“By purchasing Outspoken Vice Lipstick, you’re helping to provide literacy programs and micro-loans to women in Uganda. You’re enabling girls in Kenya to get an education. And you’re making it possible for underserved and abused women in New York City to get the legal representation they desperately need,” brand founder Wende Zomnir told PopSugar in a statement. “I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished together so far — and we have so much more to do.”
The causes receiving support this year were chosen by The Ultraviolet Edge, Urban Decay’s global initiative, which has pledged to donate $2 million to great causes by the end of 2018.
