The Kooples Men’s Spring 2019 collection is simultaneously about what’s comfortable but also what’s revolutionary. This season, newly debuted in timing with this Men’s Fashion Week, features cozy and lived-in garments that feel well-worn and timeless, yet it takes style cues from a punk rock era all about shaking up the status quo.
The brand’s social media accounts described the collection as “Grunge spirit. Rock touch. Sportswear style,” which is a mix the label knows extremely well. English punk rock band Sex Pistols acted as muses for this capsule, and you can find their 70s punk influence – and recognizable logo imagery – everywhere throughout the collection.
Band tees, patchwork denim, and graphic logo-printed garments make up this well-rounded collection, which features everything from your rebellious weekend wear to even your more traditional office attire like tweed suits and stylish blazers. Of course, we are sure that shoppers would likely rather wear these looks on a dazzling concert stage than to a dreary 9-to-5, but at least it’s possible to look like a total rocker in everyday settings.
Lived-in plaid and eye-catching stripes define standout pieces like pinstripe trousers and patterned bomber jackets. And of course, those classic black leather moto jackets with a distinct rockstar edge. Without which, there would be no Kooples.
