Ten breathtaking new gowns compose the Temperley Bridal Fall 2019 “Willow” collection. This season’s designs made their triumphant debut at New York Bridal Fashion Week, where there was no shortage of shimmering detailing, gorgeous lace, or statement-making silhouettes. Designer Alice Temperley infused her latest collection with vintage nods to eras past, channeling the best of fashion’s changes with the decades to make a modern, yet timeless, showcase.
The brand describes its bridal pieces as “quintessentially British, deeply romantic, ethereal and decadent wedding dresses exquisitely executed from the finest tulles, silks and laces and adorned with intricate embroidery crafted and applied by hand.”
Throughout this new collection, you will find several references to 1920s era flappers – with drop waists, elegant bugle beading, and art deco-inspired embellishment. The pretty blush, rose, and cream tones of many gowns’ fabrics can read trendy going into 2019, yet the hues are anchored in history.
“The Willow collection offers a bride the dresses of her dreams whilst perfectly complimenting the existing bridal collection,” the designer shared on Instagram. “Bohemian decadence, to styles to party till dawn in.”
Elaborate floral headpieces also add a touch of whimsical, bohemian charm to the models’ styles in the brand’s latest dress lookbook, showing brides they can mix inspirations to customize a beautiful wedding day look.
The line also features an incredible variety in neckline options, which is all the more noticeable in the relatively small capsule. Brides can choose from high neck collars, off-the-shoulder sleeves, plunging V-necks, gauzy mesh straps, flouncy short sleeves, and more.
