Topshop is taking a trip to the “Upside Down.” The company has teamed up with Netflix to promote the second season of Stranger Things through apparel and in-store cinema style screenings. The 28 piece capsule collection will feature both clothing and accessories. Take a look at some feature pieces from the collection below.
The global marketing director at Topshop said, “the in-store takeover plays to the Topshop customer’s obsession with retro styling right now, and in particular the look of the Stranger Things characters who all live in Hawkins, Indiana, in the early Eighties.” Who wouldn’t love channeling style vibes from the Stranger Things cast?
Not only are the kids adorable, but their outfits – their attention to denim in particular – is so on trend.
Topshop customers will also have the opportunity to watch the new season of Stranger Things. Screenings will be hosted by actress Shannon Purser, who played Barb in the first season. We’re happy to know that Barb escaped the “Upside Down” and is doing well.
Select U.K. stores will also be set up to emulate scenes from the series. Examples include Will Byer’s living room, the creepy Hawkin’s lab and the arcade the boys frequent in the trailer for season two. Topshop also made a version of the “Upside Down.” For those of you who don’t know, the “Upside Down” is another dimension haunted by faceless monsters.
If you’re staying in this Halloween, this series will have you looking over your shoulder. Stranger Things will give you a scare in the best possible way.
