Starbucks lovers, you know that one of the most exciting parts of the changing weather is the seasonal menu updates at the popular coffee franchise. But the Starbucks Summer 2018 menu is actually bringing out some new permanent menu items – and they look good. Get ready for a colorful new drink and some sweet baked goods with adorable decorations that will look incredible in snaps shown off on your Instagram feed.
“Starbucks is putting a flavorful spin on three customer favorites that will also become part of its permanent menu for participating stores in the United States and Canada,” the store announced on its news website. “Beginning Tuesday, June 5 customers can try the new Serious Strawberry Frappuccino blended beverage; the new Chicken Chorizo and Tortilla Sous Vide Egg Bites; or the new Kitchen Sink Cookie. Also available for a limited time are new bakery items, as well as the first of a four-part, artistically designed limited edition packaged coffee series that celebrates and reinterprets our coffee heritage.”

Starbucks Summer 2018 Menu Drinks
First up, we’ve got to get to that Serious Strawberry Frappuccino.
“The Serious Strawberry Frappuccino blended beverage is a new take on the Strawberries and Crème Frappuccino,” Starbucks announced. “It is a seriously flavorful layered drink that begins with a swirl of strawberry fruit puree, followed by the Strawberries and Crème Frappuccino base, which is a blend of ice, milk, and our strawberry infusion blend. The beverage is then finished with another layered swirl of strawberry puree and vanilla whipped cream.”
Though it sounds perfect for summer sipping and Instagramming, this beverage will be added to the store’s permanent menu in the U.S. and Canada.
Starbucks Summer 2018 Menu Sweet Treats
Another permanent menu item addition that’s debuting this summer is the Kitchen Sink Cookie, which – you guessed it – is made up of everything but the kitchen sink. “Inspired by the spontaneous desire to make a cookie with ‘whatever’s in the pantry,’ this cookie combines pecans and the saltiness of pretzels with the sweetness of marshmallows and chocolate chunks,” Starbucks dished.
You’ll definitely want to ‘gram a pic of one of these when you get one, because you’re sure to have a unique blend worth capturing!
More baked goods to consider for the season are the Frosted Doughnut Cake Pop (made from vanilla cake with simple syrup and buttercream icing, dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkles), Confetti Sugar Cookie (a sprinkle butter cookie, half-dipped in white chocolate), and the Summer Berry Swirl Croissant (which is composed of layers of buttery, flaky crust filled with raspberry, blackberry and strawberry filling), which are all decadent sweet treats that will only be here for the summer.

Need a new breakfast item or quick lunch grab in your Starbucks repertoire? The new Chicken Chorizo and Tortilla Sous Vide Egg Bites launch is being added to the permanent menu this summer, and it’s worth a try!
“Our signature perfectly cooked, Sous Vide Egg Bites in a new flavor made with antibiotic-free chicken chorizo, chipotle salsa and corn tortilla strips,” the brand explained on its website. Yum!
