It’s November 1st which means the holiday season is quickly approaching (there are only 53 days left until Christmas)! With that said, we’re in dire need of holiday cheer and some festive treats. Starbucks granted our wishes by releasing their 2017 holiday cup and signature holiday flavors today.
The traditional red Starbucks holiday cup is iconic, but this year’s clever design is intended to spark the customer’s inner creativity. “This year’s cup is intentionally designed to encourage our customers to add their own color and illustrations,” executive creative director for Starbucks, Leanne Fremar said. “We love the idea of everyone making this year’s cup their own.”
Illustrator Jordan Kay had this to say about his Starbucks holiday cup design choice:
“I liked the idea of hands as the centering point, a symbol of connection, love and giving joy. Whether it’s wrapping presents or decorating a tree, writing cards or enjoying a mug of cocoa.”
We couldn’t agree more. Everyone can use a helping hand, especially around this time of year.
Speaking of, the holiday cup sleeve also features a message that reads, “Give Good.” We think it is the perfect reminder to everyone during the holiday season. Whenever you can, give good. Whether it’s opening a door for a stranger, or donating to your local charity – put your best foot forward whenever you can. Positivity can spread like wildfire and everyone can use some more warmth in their day-to-day lives.
Last but never least, we need to talk about the beloved holiday-inspired Starbucks drinks. Coffee drinkers can warmly welcome back the Chestnut Praline Latte, Caramel Brulée Latte and Peppermint Mocha. I know where I’ll be getting my coffee tomorrow morning.
When it comes to the most wonderful time of the year, Starbucks always finds a way to give good.
