Puma brand ambassador Selena Gomez has been hard at work creating the latest sporty designs for her ongoing SG x Puma sportswear collaboration. The 26-year-old singer has just unveiled three stylish new sneaker silhouettes in the Selena Gomez Puma Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
“The Selena Gomez collection has strength stitched into every piece,” Puma shared on its website. “It’s inspired by, and designed for, the strong girl.”
As part of this shoe launch, you can expect to find the SG Runner Strength Training Shoes in Glacier Gray, the SG Slip-On Bright Training Shoes in Yellow, and the SG Slip-On Bright Fade Training Shoes in Fair Aqua. The colorful and comfortable designs are crafted with PROFOAM interiors to provide lightweight cushioning, and evoKNIT exteriors for that trendy sock-like slip-on fit.
According to Puma, “the SG Slip-on is a relaxed blend of Selena’s personal style and Puma’s classic trainers. This slip-on shoe features airy colors and timeless design for a laid back vibe wherever you go.” Meanwhile, the runners blend the sportswear brand’s classic court and running shoes.
Each of the shoe designs features a semi-colon logo placed intentionally on the outer soles. You may recall that Selena and many of the actors in the hit Netflix series she executive produces, 13 Reasons Why, all have this punctuation mark tattooed on them. The mark is significant: it represents Project Semicolon, an organization that increases awareness for mental health struggles and treatment. According to the organization, the project’s goal is to “present hope and love to those struggling with depression, suicide, addiction, and self-injury.”
You can shop the new shoe designs from the SG x Puma line online and in stores now, with prices ranging from $90 to $120 per pair. The full SS19 season’s collection filled with bags, sweats, and more apparel, will be available to shop starting on May 15, 2019. More shoes – including athletic Cali Sandals! – will also be on the way.
