Where high-fashion designer gowns meet wedding day glamour, you know you will find fabulously extravagant designers like Reem Acra. The Reem Acra Bridal Fall 2019 collection debuted on the runways at this October season of New York Bridal Fashion Week, and each piece is worthy of brides looking for a fairy tale princess moment.
The designer put on a dazzling show at the iconic New York Public Library to showcase “The Celebration Collection,” created with wedding planner and event designer Preston Bailey. The NYBFW production was filled with high-fashion detailing, couture design elements, and plenty of catwalk theatrics.
“The idea of creating the world’s most over the top-glamorous bridal dinner party was an idea I have wanted to do for years,” the designer shared in her show notes. “I loved the idea of combining my ready-to-wear with bridal for the Celebration collection- injecting color and fun into the show. Partnering with Preston to create the set was a true honor and joy, as a Preston Bailey event is an event like no other. I can think of no better complement to my gowns than the glamorous fantasy world that he has created in the New York Public Library.“
There’s nothing standard about the color palette for this bridal line, either. Along with the more traditional cream, ivory, and blush-toned shades, there are also a few unexpected mint, peachy nude-toned, and baby blue color options, dusted with stunning metallics. Floral appliqués and opulent, luxurious beading take these already-stunning gowns up to a regal level – fit for a queen.
