Prada Unveils Comics Accessories Menswear Collection

If you love eye-catching street style designs and the fast-paced action of graphic novels, the new Prada Comics collection is for you. The designer label has now unveiled accessories from its new Spring menswear line. You can clearly see the comic strip inspiration behind each look.

“Prada introduces its Comics collection worldwide in a series of special in-store displays and pop-up stores dedicated to ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and shoes designed with the distinctive graphic novel prints, developed from the Prada S/S 2018 fashion show,” the brand shared. “The comics printed on leather and gabardine fabric give a unique identity to iconic Prada pieces such as the backpack and belt bag as well as to new styles like the one-shoulder backpack and a wide range of new accessories.”

These belt bags (or fanny packs, as we’re calling them!), wallets, kicks, and backpacks are all crafted in the unique graphic prints that define the collection. They truly are one-of-a-kind pieces that fashion collectors will love.

This launch also marks the the latest from Prada’s collaboration with Taiwanese-American artist James Jean, who works with both commercial and visual arts. He also worked on art-printed pieces showcased by British actor Joe Alwyn in the star’s own Spring 2018 campaign for Prada.

As an added bonus, international shoppers will be able to pick up pieces from the Prada Comics line early. Items will be on sale at pop-up stores happening in select cities throughout the holiday season. To find dates for Osaka, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, London, Paris, and Seoul, check out the pop-up schedule.
