It’s back! One of our favorite European high-fashion e-tailers, MyTheresa.com, is once again calling upon heritage brand Prada to create a celebratory edition line especially for luxury online shoppers. This time, Prada will dig into its archives for an exciting new capsule collection that honors Spring 2012 fashion, shoe, and more accessory designs with modern interpretations for an exclusive MyTheresa Prada partnership.
The brands tapped R&B artist Abra to front the collaboration’s new campaign, which is all about those bold colors, neon flame prints, bucket hats, and statement-making shoes – like flame-wing heel and neoprene Chelsea boots. The recording artist looks trendy and stage-ready wearing pops of red, patterned hoodies, and nylon accessories in her debut photo shoot images. Styled together, these look ssomehow blend our favorite trends of the 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s all at once.
We obsessively loved those brightly saturated hues and mix of wild fabrics and prints what feels like just a few seasons ago. But now, they have been modernized for our more Instagram snap-happy world.
“Our global customer loves to experiment with prints and bright colors, so we wanted to offer them something completely edgy,” Tiffany Hsu, the fashion and buying director at MyTheresa.com, shared in a statement via WWD.
Prada and its sister line Miu Miu previously collaborated on a MyTheresa exclusive collection back in summer of 2017. That initiative was started to celebrate the launch of Prada’s ready-to-wear garments through online sales platforms. Now, as clothing shopping becomes an increasingly digital space, we can’t wait to see how this strong relationship evolves further.
Keep an eye out for the new MyTheresa Prada capsule, coming soon to the online shop’s designer page this July 4, 2018.
