You may know Moncler best for their winter-ready down parkas and luxury puffer coats. But just when you thought you knew what the brand was capable of, the label called upon eight other designers to give their styles a major style overhaul for Milan Fashion Week. This season, creators Pierpaolo Piccioli, Palm Angels, Craig Green, Karl Temper, Simone Rocha, Noir Kei Ninomiya, fragment design, and more collaborated on head-turning new looks for the “Moncler Genius” presentation.
Taking on this many collaborations is a clearly ambitious move: and the partnerships resulted in a diverse array of new ensembles. Valentino‘s Pierpaolo Piccioli created head-to-toe puffers reminiscent of historical gowns, while Palm Angels crafted looks that perfectly blend street style pieces with attire for the slopes. The team behind Moncler Grenoble turned to retro prints and silhouettes for inspiration while Craig Green played with practicality and proportion.
For their buzzworthy Milan Fashion Week showcase, Moncler transformed their Italian space into a scene from the future – perfect to display some of the larger-than-life outfits and literal fabric mountains. Each collaboration was given its own time to shine – and together they made a bold impact.
What a show!
