Michael B. Jordan‘s highly-anticipated capsule clothing collection for Coach has officially made its debut. The 32-year-old actor – and first global menswear ambassador to the fashion brand – dropped his stylish, unisex designs with a full photo campaign and cinematic trailer-style video filmed on the streets of Tokyo. This premiere Michael B. Jordan Coach collection is a collaboration between Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers and the VIZ Media Japanese anime and manga company’s Naruto.
“With my name on this collection, it was important to design pieces that represent my cultural influences and my community; pieces that I could see my friends, family and fans wearing with pride,” Jordan said in a press statement. “As with all aspects of my work, this collection is about bringing fresh perspectives and unique voices to the forefront. Expanding into the fashion design space was rewarding beyond my expectations. I’m grateful to Stuart and Coach for providing me with the opportunity and expertise to execute a collection I’m extremely proud of.”
This limited edition ready-to-wear range features shoes, bags, t-shirts, hoodies, backpacks, denim, jackets, coats, and more garments and leather accessories, complete with innovative, utility-inspired and futuristic detailing. Anime fans will find Naruto references and graphics throughout the line, and fashion collectors will appreciate all the special touches, like modern hybrid sneaker boots and removable sleeves.
“Working with Mike is always a great experience,” said Vevers in a release. “He’s a great collaborator because he always puts his heart and soul into everything he does, and because he brought something authentic and personal to the collection.”
