Marc Jacobs is a designer that is always pushing boundaries, and his label’s new campaign ads are no exception. For the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2018 season, the brand has taken its most colorful and eye-catching garments and has seemingly put them underwater. Or so it appears! The featured models are grouped in a sparkling set projecting dreamlike water reflections.

“I’m happy and proud to share our Spring/Summer 2018 ad campaign photographed by Steven Meisel. I love the exuberance, spirit and energy captured in these images. Steven so perfectly captured the joy of fashion and the spirit of this collection,” Marc Jacobs shared about this campaign.
So where is this mythical destination that is clearly inspiring the brand’s worldly new collection?
“There’s tons [going on],” the designer has shared. “We’re calling the whole thing ‘Somewhere’ — from Sofia [Coppola]’s movie,” he said. “But also, last season was all about this urban landscape, and this is not about any [particular] landscape. It’s somewhere, I’m not sure where.”
Honestly, that “somewhere” vibe is just adding to the magic of the entire campaign.
