Madewell Unveils Collaboration with NYC Label No. 6

If Madewell is one of your go-to labels for your fall-into-winter wardrobe, you are about to be so excited by the brand’s latest collaboration with No.6! “We teamed up with the cult-fave NYC label to reissue a limited-edition collection of its most loved party-ready dresses and jumpsuits, archival prints included,” Madewell just announced, unveiling stylish new wardrobe staples.

The Madewell No. 6 collaboration is comprised of maxi dresses and jumpsuits that look just as chic styled up as they do dressed down as streetwear. And if you are looking at the pieces in this collection and thinking to yourself, “These are the perfect items to mix, match, and layer all season long!” – you’re on the same page as the designers themselves.

“I’m a firm believer that you can never layer too much!” No. 6 Founder Karin Bereson shared. “Start with a skinny or sheer long-sleeve tee under a jumpsuit and then throw on a big cardigan or menswear-inspired pullover. The balance of something fitted under and slouchy over always looks great. Plus, it’s cozy!”

This prints-heavy collection is actually composed of popular sellers from No. 6’s own line, as chosen by Head Designer Joyce Lee. That means you really can’t go wrong with styling them together. You can truly let your creativity shine when putting together prints, but a helpful hint for looking polished and cohesive is to keep a theme in mind.

“I love pattern mixing, but there needs to be a common thread,” Bereson advised. “When you’re mixing any two prints, use varying sizes from one print to the next, or make sure there’s a similar color palette or accent in both. Mixing checks and florals usually works well.”

The price range for the collection is from $150 to $188, and the items are currently shoppable online and in select stores.
