Kylie Cosmetics Debuts Pop-Up Truck and New Makeup Brush Set

Kylie Cosmetics has been on a roll when it comes to announcing surprise holiday treats this season. First, Kylie Jenner’s beauty brand unveiled its limited-edition holiday collection. Then, the company announced a new line of bullet lipsticks and a 30-shade concealer range will be debuting this December 13. Now, the brand has dropped two more exciting announcements on us: the Kylie Truck and pro Kylie Cosmetics Brushes.

Kylie Truck

First up, the brand confirmed its pop-up truck, revealing that the “Kylie Truck” mobile store will be making its first stop at The Grove in Los Angeles today at 4PM. Like trendy food trucks or the ice cream trucks of your childhood, these locations are said to be stocked with makeup items and exciting fashion merch you can shop on the go.

The Twitter account @KylieTruck will be your ultimate source for where else the truck will be journeying to this December.

But the truck reveal is a sneak addition to Kylie Cosmetics’ three promised holiday product surprises.

Shortly after revealing her truck location, Kylie announced that the latest addition to the “Silver Series” will actually be a 16-piece makeup brush collection. Like her other launches, they will be live to shop exclusively on KylieCosmetics.com on December 13.

These professional-style tools are said to be Kylie’s own personal favorites. “All brushes are sold individually, or you can buy the limited-edition set for $360, which comes with the silver roll to store all of your brushes,” the brand shared on Twitter, revealing a full product breakdown.

Kylie Cosmetics also revealed the full price list for brushes purchased separately:

Large Powder Brush, $48. Large Stippling Brush, $30. Medium Tapered Brush, $28. Dense Powder Brush, $26. Angled Face Brush, $24. Rounded Face Brush, $28. Medium Stippling Brush, $22. Small Fluff Brush, $22. Fan Brush, $20. Large Shader Brush, $20. Angled Blending Brush, $16. Medium Shader Brush, $20. Small Shader Brush, $18. Concealer Brush, $18. Tapered Blending Brush, $20. Many fans on social media expressed their concerns over the brushes’ pricing. As a comparison of some other hot products on the market, Morphe sells its Set 684 18-Piece Professional Brush Set for $39, e.l.f.’s 19-Piece Ultimate Face Brush Roll Set retails for $55, and bH Cosmetics’ popular 36 Piece Ultimate Brush Set is $24, while the Robert Lee Morris designer MAC Cosmetics collaboration Brush Roll 4-piece set is $125. But individual brush prices from popular brands like Tarte, Stila, Kat Von D, It Cosmetics, and MAC fall into a similar price range as the Kylie Cosmetics brushes.

So should you shop Kylie’s? It really depends on your personal preference of what you would like out of your brushes, which you would use most often, and what kind of value you expect. Since it’s not a purchase to take lightly, make sure to think over if you consider the brush roll more of an investment, or just something fun to try!
