Did you know that celebrity mother-daughter duo Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn have actually never worked together – before now? That’s right: though both women are celebrated actresses in their own right, they have previously kept to separate projects. But today, it was announced both ladies are collaborating on an activewear collection for Hudson’s lifestyle brand Fabletics, inspired by Hawn’s non-profit organization, the MindUp foundation.
“This is the first time my mom and I have worked together, and this partnership between Fabletics and MindUP is an exciting one to start with because the cause is near and dear to both of our hearts,” Hudson said in a press statement. “My mom is incredibly passionate about the welfare of children, which is what led her to start MindUP.”
“The MindUP curriculum helps children understand and manage their emotions through the workings of their brain, which will ultimately raise a generation of kids who have the power to create their own happiness and thrive in today’s world,” the actress continued. “My mom is also the embodiment of the Fabletics ethos. She meditates, trampolines every morning, runs, lifts weights and even rides a mountain bike—it’s literally hard to keep up with her! Through her example, she’s taught me that the body and mind are always connected in a constant flow. One can say that I’ve had a really good role model to build the Fabletics brand!”
Along with the partnership reveal, Fabletics unveiled a first round of imagery for the stars’ first-ever campaign together.
Hudson, 39, who is pregnant with her third child and first daughter, rocks the super comfy and stretchy Adrienne long-sleeved top ($45) and Meredith pants, ($50) in her photo shoot imagery. Posing right along side her is Hawn, 72, rocking a cute green Olivia tank ($25) with some vibrantly patterned Powerform leggings ($50) and the matching Tammy low-impact sports bra ($30).
It seems like both stars had a blast joining their talents and style sensibilities for this partnership – and their radiance shines through their photos together.
“The Fabletics x MindUP collection has been so fun to work on together, because it’s a real reflection of both of our styles,” Hudson shared on her brand’s blog. “My mom pretty much always wants to feel like she’s ready to dance, so it’s all about comfortable, stylish pieces that can go from yoga to lunch. They represent what Fabletics and MindUP are all about—something that makes you feel really good, so you can have a great day and spread that positivity. (And, spoiler alert: some of the pieces have hidden Goldie-isms on them, because, really, everyone needs a little Goldie in their life.)”
Of course, this collection is about cute, wearable outfits that will take you from your morning workout to your kids’ school events, to the movies, and beyond.
“While we love clothes, love looking cute and love living an active lifestyle, the most important thing about this partnership is how it will benefit MindUP,” she added. “With the proceeds, we will be able to provide scholarships to schools and teachers to support the program in communities all over the world, as close as Los Angeles and as far as Abu Dhabi. This collaboration means so much to both of us, because it combines all of the most important things in our life: family, children, work and the possibility of making this world a better place.”
