Karl Lagerfeld is a major force in the fashion industry. He works as the creative direction behind top brands like Chanel and Fendi, launched his own self-titled clothing label, and is now teaming up with Australian beauty company ModelCo for a collaborative Karl Lagerfeld makeup line. That’s right: this spring, you’ll be able to shop (and collect!) pieces from this fun, ultra limited-edition range.
“This collection is done for people of any age who may like it — also young people who know more about makeup than all of us,” the designer shared about this project, noting that all of his product designs came from personal sketches. “I had never done such a complete (makeup) collection before.”
The 50-piece ModelCo x Karl Lagerfeld makeup line is set to launch globally on May 14, 2018. There will only be one drop of stock, so you have to act fast to pick up pieces!
The theme behind the many luxurious pieces in this collection is “illuminated beauty,” which means you can expect radiant shades that will have you glowing from within. Lip balms, glosses, pencils, bronzers, eyeshadow palettes, and many more must-haves can be found in this collection, retailing from $15 to $195 depending on your product choice.
“Every product is illuminated through packaging or an innovative formula,” ModelCo CEO Shelley Sullivan told WWD. “The Lip Lights range literally lights up with [an] inbuilt LED light and mirror. [It] was an original ModelCo first-to-market creation.”
The ModelCo x Karl Lagerfeld makeup line will be available for sale in the designer’s own stores internationally, and through karl.com and modelco.com. United States Nordstrom stores will be the exclusive carrier of these products, with other select retailers worldwide picking up the launch.
