The February passing of iconic designer and creative director Karl Lagerfeld has sent palpable ripples through the fashion world. His couture style and presence will be missed in the luxurious labels of Chanel and Fendi – but also in his eponymous clothing and accessories label. The Karl Lagerfeld Fall 2019 Ready-to-Wear collection, which was unveiled during Paris Fashion Week, is fittingly, one final love letter directly from the late designer to his dedicated shoppers.
The line is composed of easy-to-wear work pieces like suits, button-ups, and skinny trousers. You’ll also find more daring and edgy coats and outerwear silhouettes that give the collection a futuristic vibe. There’s even a striking black leather motorcycle jacket which reads “KARL LOVES ME” in graphic white paint on the back. A perfect note from Karl.
The Karl Lagerfeld Fall 2019 collection also features an anticipated style collaboration with the It-girl trendsetter, Olivia Palermo. The star was thrilled to be able to fuse some of her own design ideas into the brand’s captivating season.
“Being able to collaborate with the visionary and iconic Karl Lagerfeld is truly incredible,” Palermo previously shared about her work in a February press statement. “I am so proud to bring our shared vision to life on this project and infuse my own eclectic perspective to Karl’s Fall 2019 collection.”
As part of Olivia’s designs, you will find a strong black tuxedo suit, classic tweed shorts, and some graphic t-shirts that feature her silhouette against Lagerfeld’s own.
