Fashion collaborations and style crossovers are consistently among our favorite moments in the industry. The latest announcement in the overlapping fashion/beauty sphere is no exception. French fashion designer Isabel Marant has officially teamed up with L’Oreal Paris to create a makeup line for Fall 2018 that further extends the vision of her brand.
“I’ve always interpreted fashion’s ready-to-wear literally, and I couldn’t be more thrilled at this chance to do that in makeup with an on-the-go collection with L’Oréal Paris,” the Parisian designer shared in a press statement. “It has been a dream to get right inside makeup innovation and to offer this collection of day-into-night, natural-to-smoking make-up essentials I’ve always wanted.”
Though neither brand has revealed any first-look images or specific details just yet, we do know that the Isabel Marant L’Oreal label is set to be called “Wanted!” and will start off featuring five “edgy yet practical” products for eyes, lips, and cheeks.
“This is a collaboration that’s really of the moment: synonymous with Parisian elegance, Isabel Marant is one of the great self-made designers today. Absolutely true to herself and her independence, she’s the perfect partner for the brand, in our drive to make every woman around the world feel worth it,” Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, L’Oréal Paris Global Brand President, added about the partnership.
On her label’s Instagram feed, Marant teased us to stay tuned for the big reveal – which may or may not feature some of the color cosmetics she is seen swatching in the post’s photo.
The Wanted! line is expected to launch on September 27, 2018 – which just so happens to be the same date as the Isabel Marant Spring/Summer 2019 collection runway show at Paris Fashion Week.
We hope to see the catwalk models rocking some of the latest releases before we undoubtedly shop the entire range ourselves!
