Grace Loves Lace Debuts Effortlessly Glamorous ICON Bridal Collection

The Grace Loves Lace 2018 “ICON” bridal collection made a beautiful debut at this October season of New York Bridal Fashion Week. The line’s goal is to turn obsolete ideas of what a bride should be into modern celebrations of women’s bodies and unique personalities. Each design in this progressive collection is inspired by iconic and influential women of today and yesteryear.

Brand Founder and Creative Director Megan Ziems said that this specific collection is an interpretation of what women want in 2018 and beyond – and it’s not restrictive and uncomfortable dresses that hold you back from grooving on the dance floor. Instead, it’s liberating.

“We design for women with a strong sense of self,” she said in a press statement. “The collection first and foremost celebrates self-expression as a form of personal freedom. Our dresses are an extension of a woman’s substance – they make you FEEL something.”

“The notion that wild women should not be tamed is the very reason we refuse to hold them back with restrictive, rigid elements like boning, corseting and heavy fabrics,” Ziems added.

Instead, this range focuses on comfortable fits, effortlessly wearable silhouettes, and some unexpected fabric combinations. The nine dress styles in this collection include the CienCocoDomingaFrancaHarriLeonMarloeMenha, and Sol. Each, of course, is created with beautiful lace and intricate detailing. But you won’t be held back by fussy fabrics. Because who says you should sacrifice style or tradition for some comfort?

“Deceptively full skirts emphasize an hourglass shape and armbands in exotic trims add a further sense of drama in a rebellious play on structure,” the brand shared in a collection description. “Hyper-textured fabrics become three-dimensional by way of distinctive signature Grace Loves Lace layering, while unexpected lace combinations are offset by bold patterns and intricate detail. Each gown is more than meets the eye. Look closer to reveal blink-and-you’ll-miss-it metallic beading, iridescent threading and playful details like star trims and secret garden embroidery.”
