Gigi Hadid had a whole new makeover for her latest high-fashion campaign. In fact, we bet you’ll do a double-take as you come to recognize her. The model is the face of the new Valentino Spring 2018 advertorial by designer Pierpaolo Piccioli, which is red hot and stunning.
“The #SpringSummer18 #AdvCampaign is inspired by a new allure of glamour and features the unique @gigihadid holding the new Valentino Garavani #CandyStud bag,” Maison Valentino shared on Instagram. Gigi also rocks daring electric red eyeshadow and a coordinating silk maxi dress.
The pieces in the Valentino Spring 2018 collection are inspired by the Creative Director’s interest in the Apollo moon landing. But the season also takes a nostalgic turn back to where the heritage label all began. “I wanted to get back something of the glamour of the ’80s that Mr. Valentino did so well,” Pierpaolo Piccioli said. (It should be noted that Picciolo was named InStyle Awards’ Designer of the Year in 2017, after being named Valentino’s sole Creative Director the year before.)
This new campaign was shot in New York City at Pier 59, but it takes a modern, monochromatic background to new levels with bright and boldly-printed spring styles.
For the brand’s accompanying campaign video, Gigi is also joined by models Rianne Van Rompaey, Adut Akech, Aurora Talarico, Oumie Jammeh, and Felice Nordhoff for a colorful and fun dance party.
