The Fendi Fall 2018 collection made its fabulous runway debut in Italy during Milan Fashion Week – and the occasion was quite the stylish affair. Top models like Bella and Gigi Hadid, Adwoa Aboah, Kaia Gerber, and more all walked in this showcase, sporting trenchcoats, tweed and plaid suits, and more of the season’s hottest styles.
Logo-emblazoned ensembles ruled the runway, and the label debuted their new “Double F” shoulder bag for the very first time. This handbag comes in an incredible array of patterns, prints, and colors – but they are all defined by round logo stamps and metallic corner frames.
As part of this collection, you will also notice that the brand transformed the iconic Fila logo into their own Fendi style branding. This resulted in the most street style-ready garments in the show. This playful design comes about after a partnership with popular Instagram artist Hey Reilly, whose online work caught the eye of the Fendi design team.
“It was Silvia [Venturini Fendi] who originally found me on Instagram a few years ago, she started following me, and liking things I was doing. I made a fake Fendi Fila logo and Silvia re-posted it, making people think that it was a real collaboration between Fila, Fendi and me,” the artist shared with Vogue Paris about how a creative dream became fashion reality.
“We started talking on Instagram about working together, and over the past seven or eight months I designed some motifs for her Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection,” he added. “I was ready to do anything! It was all about positivity, about having fun, about being really happy.”
The collaboration certainly brings us joy!
