Interested in the time period of Marie Antoinette? Curious about which famous figures came through the palace of Versailles? This spring and summer, the Costume Institute at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art will be showcasing “Visitors To Versailles (1682–1789),” one of its most opulent historical displays yet.
This exhibit pays tribute to 17th and 18th century fashions, fabrics, and textiles in France, and shows us a look at which important figures stopped by for royal business.
