October 13, 2018 - October 28, 2018$35
Pepperoni. Veggie Lover’s. Extra Cheese. Let us count the ways we love pizza, and all the ooey gooey goodness that can be contained on one heavenly slice. If your mouth is watering just reading that description, then the Museum of Pizza, coming soon to New York City, is certainly a destination worth your visit.
This pop-up museum event is perfect for foodies, Instagram fashionistas, and photography enthusiasts, as it’s bringing together a love for food and the potential for viral content through its rooms. This interactive museum experience is set to include:
- The Museum of Pizza artists gallery
- Pizza cave
- Pizza fun house
- Pizza beach
- The interactive history (and untold story) of Pizza
- “Pizza Zen” ASMR experience
- MoPi’s pop-up pizzeria
- The official MoPi Pizza Films screening room and media lab
- and more
So, why pizza?
“Pizza is the undisputed, democratically-elected champion of food. The snackable luxury whose appeal is universal,” the event organizers shared on their website. “Like a best friend, pizza is fun, reliable, consistent, flexible and unselfish. Always here for us when we’re hungry, happy, hurried or hungover. Pizza does not judge; it is always for the people, by the people – and that’s why we love it. In fact, we love pizza so much we created #MoPi, the museum for it. A place to take amazing photos and absorb every wonder of our larger-than-life, immersive installations. A space to bask in multi-sensory, psychedelic pizza joy.”
As an added note, the museum will be donating a portion of event ticket sales to organizations working to provide free meals for families in need.
In case you were wondering, yes, ticket holders will be entitled to a slice of pizza each to consume outside of the exhibit, but, the organizers clearly assert that “this is a Museum dedicated to art, culture and fun, not just eating.”
You can now buy pre-sale tickets for the Museum of Pizza on the organizers’ Eventbrite page.
