Disney is celebrating the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse in November 2018. To kick off the celebrations, an exciting new exhibition experience called Mickey: The True Original will be opening in New York City from November 2018 to February 2019. Make sure to bring your cameras, because the space will be filled with a variety of art styles to appreciate and Instagram-worthy moments to capture.
“This immersive experience is inspired by Mickey’s status as a ‘true original’ and his consistent impact on the arts and creativity in all its forms,” event organizers shared about the exhibition. “Guests will have the chance to explore the 16,000 square-foot exhibition featuring both historic and contemporary work from renowned artists.”
From paintings to sculptures and murals, the incredible talents of more than 20 contemporary artists will be part of this exhibition, including Daniel Arsham, Amanda Ross-Ho, Katherine Bernhardt, Keith Haring, London Kaye, Kenny Scharf, and Shinique Smith.
Tickets are $38 and purchased in specific time intervals, but children 3 and under are free. Visit the event’s Showclix account to pick up tickets and get more specific information.
