Air Canada is bringing the joy of loaded French fries to Boston’s Downtown Crossing for a 10-day food pop-up affair! From October 3-13, 2019, the airline is hosting a food tourism event not to be missed, as it features ten menu options created by local vendor Catered Affair. The shop will also stock Canadian beers and wines to try out, so you get the full dining experience.
This is the fourth stop on the poutine traveling tour, after successfully completing stops in Washington, D.C., London, and Denver. This time around, the pop-up is supporting a Boston-local project. Each poutine menu item is $5, (drinks $4), with all proceeds benefitting the Boston-based nonprofit About Fresh, which is all about food security initiatives.
“Funds raised from the Poutinerie will expand our programming heading into the winter, a critical point of the year where our communities of shoppers experience the highest rates of food insecurity,” said About Fresh cofounder and CEO Josh Trautwein.
