It feels like just yesterday that model and actress Emily Ratajkowski was gearing up to launch her very own swimwear collection, Inamorata. But now, the star is already previewing the new pieces in her second drop for Summer 2018.
From retro-inspired polka dot prints, side-tie styles, and ultra high leg sexy one-pieces, this collection features all of the styles the 26-year-old star herself loves to rock on sunny days poolside. In the background of her photo shoot images for the brand, you can also catch a glimpse of her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, whom she wed in February 2018.
Of course, it’s perfectly fitting that her fashion brand is full of personal details like this. Emily has shared that she feels a special connection to her swim line, because it’s a business venture she is doing almost entirely on her own. That way, it has a different vibe than the many modeling projects she is a part of.
“It is self-funded. I have basically a consultant and an assistant and then it’s all me. It’s been really, really fun,” she told Vogue. “I’ve been doing different things with different people, but to have complete control is really special and exciting.”
And for Emily, hanging around in swimsuits is a lifestyle. “When I was 16, sometimes I would literally wake up, not put on any clothes, and I’d put on a bathing suit and get coffees and burritos for the day,” she shared. “I also spent the time going to Majorca in the summer, and I saw women in all shapes and sizes, of all different ages, living in their bathing suits, cooking, eating, laying out, and taking care of their kids [in their swimsuit.] To me, that was the kind of swimsuit I wanted to make and embody.”
