Has the Dolce & Gabbana brand made it clear that it absolutely loves London? The designer label recently set up a stunning Italian marketplace in the city’s Harrods location just in time for the holidays, fusing the best of Italy and Britain’s style inspirations. They even started a hashtag to profess #DGLovesLondon. Now, as part of their city takeover, D&G is celebrating a refurbished new boutique location, opening up for business at London’s Old Bond Street.
Of course, Dolce & Gabbana’s international fashion parties are quite the elegant affairs – which include can’t-miss runway presentations.
To commemorate the store launch, Dolce & Gabbana recently showed 90 looks for the combined Alta Moda and Alta Sartoria premiere presentation at the ornate location.
Featuring elaborate hats and headpieces, sparkling gold and sequin detailing, and intricate designs featuring the Union Jack flag, this collection combined the brand’s own luxe aesthetic with London’s distinctly recognizable fashion personality.
“English people have the greatest taste,” Dolce & Gabbana designer Stefano Gabbana said, explaining these designs should be considered a love letter to the capital city. “We love London.”
Luckily for us, Dolce & Gabbana shared behind-the-scenes snaps and event photos following this exciting showcase. You can see the regal embroidery and exquisite craftsmanship in mesmerizing detail in their social media recap video above.
