Dolce & Gabbana certainly knows how to put on a fashion show production. Over the weekend, the luxury designer brand showcased a three-day series of Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda and Alta Satoria fashion presentations throughout New York City, at iconic venues like the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, the Rockefeller Center Rainbow Room, and the New York Public Library.
Models like Naomi Campbell, Joan Smalls, Ashley Graham, Karen Elson, Karlie Kloss, and Taylor Hill all strutted the #DGLovesNewYork catwalk in elaborate creations that featured feather boas, sculptural headdresses, dazzling sequined styles, and many more show-shopping looks.
Celebrities and A-list guests like Dakota Fanning, Catherine Zeta Jones, Diane Kruger, Jamie Foxx, and more all took in the fabulous sites from the event’s front row.
The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda showcase was really a tribute to the city of New York, and all of the big concepts it stands for. Some of the city’s biggest landmarks – like the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and more – were transformed into art deco pieces for the showcase.
“It all started with an invitation from the Metropolitan Opera, one of our favorite theaters. We love everything about the city, the food, the people you meet on the streets, the skyscrapers, the restaurants, the subway, the nightlife, the lights that never go out. I could go on forever,” Steffano Gabbana told Vogue. “To us, New York is the city where dreams come true,” Domenico Dolce added.
The city inspiration was clear throughout the presentations, and each look was more jaw-dropping than the last!
