The newly-unveiled Costarellos Resort 2020 collection celebrates the glamour, style sensibilities, and blossoming ideas of individuality and freedom of expression of the 1970s. The Greek brand’s elevated bohemian range features gorgeous ruffles, pussybow blouses, sparkling sequins, and menswear inspired “power suits” – which are all used to reference the rise of the women’s rights movement.
Elaborately printed maxi dresses, gauzy chiffon blouses and frocks, flirty party dresses, smart floral prints, and piles of ruffled skirts are all part of the designer’s exciting new vacation-ready range.
“The 70’s was a period of individuality and freedom of expression, giving way to an eclectic mix of style influences,” the brand shared in a press release. “Accentuating this season’s collection is an oversized floral-print in uncharacteristically bold colors. Offering a bohemian air to flirty party dresses, airy ruffled skirts and swathing chiffon blouses, the era’s care-free essence is embodied and updated with fresh silhouettes and sultry sheer details and cut-outs.”
From breezy party looks to more formal evening wear and even dressier work looks, this cruise season is filled with retro-inspired pieces that shine in our modern time.
