When we first heard that Coach was going to be transforming our favorite Disney princess film characters into a darker and more sinister fashion inspirations, we signed our names on the dotted line and committed to loving every single one of the launches unconditionally. Then, we saw the first look at the Coach Dark Fairy Tale collection, which takes a look at the heroes and villains of our favorite stories – and makes them part of must-have fashion and accessory pieces. Good thing it was awesome, since we were already hooked.
Now, the brand has debuted another incredible lookbook filled with the Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, poison apple, and Seven Dwarves references of our dreams. This is the label’s third official collaboration with Disney, filled with whimsical charm and edgy street style elements. And Coach, we have to say that you have really outdone yourselves.
From skull patches on classic varsity jacket styles to spooky logo totes and poisonous apple-themed motifs on tees, scarves and handbags, there’s truly something for everyone to obsess over.
“I have always loved Disney — both the movies and the fantasy worlds created that have captured my imagination for many decades,” designer and Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers shared about the collection. “It was fun to explore the darker side of these stories and mix Disney’s nostalgic charm with Coach’s creativity to bring my memories from these fairy tales to life within our world of accessories and ready-to-wear. The Disney spirit truly reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach.”
The full Coach Dark Fairy Tale collection will go on sale on Monday May 14, in stores and online. Select stores will be housing this capsule collection in a Disney-inspired castle that we have got to see in person, with the first one launching May 10 at the Prince Street store in New York City’s SoHo area.
