Christian Louboutin Debuts ‘Star Wars’ Inspired Shoe Designs

Christian Louboutin’s ongoing partnership with Disney is continuing in an exciting new way. The designer shoe label has officially teamed up with the studio to create designs inspired by the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi theatrical release.

Louboutin’s latest statement-making heels mix fantasy and luxury. It’s what the brand does best, after all.

“[Disney and Star Wars] are very, very strong at developing characters,” the designer shared. “I have the same thing when I’m designing shoes. I often think of a character, so in a way for me, it totally makes sense to work around the character because that’s basically what I do.”

Louboutin told WWD that while these heels reflect “a take on the characters from the movie,” they were “also made for the actress” behind the iconic roles. The designer created a special pair of shoes for the movie’s four female leads: Rey [Daisy Ridley], Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo [Laura Dern], Captain Phasma [Gwendoline Christie], and Rose Tico [Kelly Marie Tran].

You can see nods to Rey’s harness, Captain Phasma’s helmet, Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo’s cape, and more detailed costumery in these chic pieces.

“I really work on innovation — that’s the thing that I’ve always been doing in my work — but I always, always keep on the side [the] importance of femininity and importance of the magic,” Louboutin added about his latest works. It’s all blending together perfectly.

Unfortunately, these dazzling Christian Louboutin heels are not shoppable. But the designer and the actresses who inspired the shoes have been signing their respective pairs to auction off for charity! All four of these designs are currently up for bids on CharityBuzz, with proceeds benefiting the Starlight Children’s Foundation through Lucasfilm and Disney’s Star Wars: A Force For Change.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits movie theaters on December 15.
