One of the hottest events of this Paris Fashion Week season was surely the Chanel Fall 2018 runway presentation at France’s Grand Palais. To showcase the new collection‘s designs, Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld turned the ornate Parisian venue into an autumnal forest, complete with mossy trees and fallen leaves all over the space.
While the venue’s inspiration may have been all about nature, the looks shown during the show were classic glam. Star models like Kaia Gerber, Adwoa Aboah, and more looked incredible rocking their new “mono-tweed” styles, party dresses, and luxurious winter coats as they took to the unconventional catwalk.

Elaborate faux fur coats, oversized clutch bags, and brightly colored gloves were some of the runway show’s most stand-out details. A note about the bags each It Girl was carrying? It’s about to be one of your new favorites. “Printed, two-tone, quilted, in smooth or patent leather, the new ’31’ handbag was created by Karl Lagerfeld for the Fall‑Winter 2018/19 collection,” the brand shared. “In coral orange, faded pink, fuchsia or poppy red, they are carried with fingerless gloves in matching colors for added vibrancy.”
