There’s no denying that fashion brand Badgley Mischka goes all out with the opulence when it comes to their stylish collections. Plus, the designer label’s Fashion Week runway shows are always delightful displays of excellence. But the design duo – made up of Mark Badgley and James Mischka – are topping even themselves: next May, the Badgley Mischka Resort 2021 collection will be presented with two exclusive runway shows on the luxury cruise line Cunard as it sails the Atlantic Ocean.
The brand’s fifth annual Transatlantic Fashion Week Crossing will take place on the flagship liner Queen Mary 2. The ship will depart Southampton, England on May 24 and arrive in New York on May 31, 2020. The designers and more top fashion experts will be on board to host the event, participate in special Q&A talks, and more.
“Our style is reminiscent of the glamorous Hollywood of the forties, and we feel Cunard emulates that same style, offering patrons a chance to don their best couture and dress for a special occasion,” Mischka said in a press statement.
“Our brands both represent effortless glamour and we are excited about this partnership and giving Cunard guests an intimate glimpse into the world of Badgley Mischka,” Badgley added.
This elaborate event will be a treat for fashion fans and cruise vacationers alike – and a fun way to present the Resort collection in action.
“We are thrilled that the legendary fashion team of Badgley Mischka will join Cunard for Transatlantic Fashion Week,” Josh Leibowitz, SVP of Cunard North America, said in a statement. “Mark and James are true visionaries in the world of fashion and will bring a once-in-a-lifetime, bespoke sense of occasion and experience to guests onboard Queen Mary 2 in May 2020.”
