Do you dream of dressing your kids in the most elegant of designer duds, while still letting them look, play, and movie about like children? The Baby Dior Spring 2018 collection from Creative Director Cordelia de Castellane is doing just that.
While these gorgeous and undoubtedly luxurious threads for babies, toddlers, and young kids certainly make a statement, they aren’t too showy, fussy, or complicated for little ones on the move. The Dior sub-label is all about “transforming everyday existence into a nostalgic fairy tale,” and that inspiration is evident in this launch. You will find whimsical princess-inspired dresses, stylish little onesies, and embroidered white attire perfect for a formal commemorative event like a First Communion, Baptism, or wedding.
The designs are “an invitation to a bucolic and festive stroll, like a jaunt through the Camargue countryside,” the brand shared on the Dior website. The season’s campaign actually features precious models frolicking with horses and running around the sand on the beach, which sounds like any child’s dream day.
You will also find some pretty magical meanings woven into each of this collection’s children’s designs. “Roses, anemones and other floral motifs appear as both prints and embroideries, echoing Christian Dior’s passion for flowers,” the label shared. “Clovers, hearts, the figure 8, bees and ladybirds are scattered here and there as good-luck symbols.”
Who couldn’t use a little bit more luck, joy, and whimsy – especially in fine childrenswear?
