If you love Alice + Olivia’s denim designs, you are going to be thrilled with the brand’s latest launch. The label has just debuted a sister line called AO.LA. which is dedicated to Los Angeles-inspired jeans and t-shirt outfits.
“I’ve always designed with the goal of dressing a woman for all aspects of her life,” designer Stacey Bendet shared about this new venture. “AO.LA. began as a concept, my sort of West Coast alter ego, the casual weekend cool, the dressed up jean. The inspiration image for the collection was a picture of my mom in her wedding gown with a pair of big bell bottom jeans underneath. It resonated with me.”
“Jeans are so much a part of a woman’s life, her memories, her life stories..and that’s what I set out to do with AO.LA., create jeans that make a woman feel empowered and good, jeans that tell a story,” she added.
The current collection includes everyday skinny jeans, 1970s-inspired flare leg styles, and trendy cropped boot cuts.We particularly love the distressed and intricately painted styles!
The AO.LA. designs are now available online, in Alice + Olivia stores, and at select Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus locations. The denim offerings range from $198 to $295 in price, while additional tees, leather goods, and kimonos sell for $135 to $1,095. As an added bonus, ten percent of proceeds from sales of the line’s “Good” collection will be donated to the Good + Foundation, an organization working to break the cycle of family poverty.
