It’s simply not an Alexander McQueen brand presentation without some serious edge and impactful flair. The artistic new Alexander McQueen Men’s 2020 Spring collection by Sarah Burton made its debut in London with little runway fanfare this season – but the new clothing items speak volumes for themselves. The designer label calls this season “a dialogue between womenswear and menswear.”
“The collection references Nineties McQueen and the frequent inspiration trips made by the team to Japan at the time,” the brand shared on its Instagram account.
The menswear collection blends beautiful Japanese art inspiration with impeccable classic British suit tailoring. Throughout the line, you’ll find hand-painted floral prints, strategically placed on tailored trousers, blazers, button-up shirts, and more. Elaborately beaded jackets and striking pleated coattails. To add some additional frill to the suits of the season, the brand used fabric scraps from past collections to created layers of textured ruffles.
